１．解説：
英文契約書では、terminateとexpireは、以下のような使い分けの区別があります。
１）terminate
terminate は、二つの意味があります。
①ひとつは、契約違反等により、期間満了前に契約を解除するという意味です。こちらが、本来の意味です。
②もうひとつは、広い意味での使い方です。有効期間満了により、または契約期間途中で、契約が終了するという意味でもよく用いられます。

２）expire
expireは、有効期間満了により契約が終了するという意味、のみで使われます。

１）terminate（解除する）- 例文①
terminateは、契約違反により契約を解除するという意味で使われています。
The Company reserves the right to terminate the Contract in the event that the Contractor fails to comply with any of the above clauses.
（訳）：
会社は、受託業者がいずれかの上記の条項を遵守しない場合、本契約を解除する権利を行使できる。

２）terminate（解除する）- 例文②
terminateは、契約違反により契約を解除するという意味で使われています。
If either Party commits a material breach of any of its obligations under this Agreement and fails to correct such breach within twenty (20) days after receiving notice of the breach from the non-breaching Party, the non-breaching Party shall have the right to terminate this Agreement effective immediately upon written notice to the breaching Party.
（訳）：
一方当事者が本契約に基づく義務の重大な違反を犯し、非違反当事者から違反の通知を受領してから20日以内にかかる違反を訂正しなかった場合、非違反当事者は、違反当事者への書面による通知を以って直ちに本契約を解除する権利を有する。

terminateは、期間満了により契約が終了するという意味で使われています。
This Agreement shall become effective as of the Effective Date and terminate upon the date that all obligations of the parties hereto with respect to this Agreement have been satisfied.
（訳）：
本契約は、発効日から発効し、本契約に関する当事者のすべての義務が履行された日に終了するものとする。
（注）：
＊the Effective Dateは、発効日という意味です。
＊all obligations of the parties hereto with respect to this Agreement have been satisfiedは、all obligations of the parties hereto（本契約の当事者のすべての義務）と、with respect to this Agreement（本契約に関する）と、have been satisfied（満足された）で、本契約に関する当事者のすべての義務が履行されたと訳しています。
４）expire（終了する）- 例文④
expireは、期間満了により契約が終了するという意味で使われています。
This Agreement will continue for three years from the date of signature, at which time it shall expire unless renewed in writing signed by both parties.
（訳）：
本契約は、署名日から3年間継続した時点で、両当事者が署名による書面で更新しない限り、終了する
