１．解説：
Anniversaryは、期間の計算を表す表現です。
Anniversaryは、応当日（おうとうび）と訳されます。
応当日とは、
契約期間中における毎月、半年ごと、または毎年の契約日に対応する日
のことをいいます。
たとえば、契約日が２０２０年５月１日の場合、年単位なら、２０２１年以降毎年５月１日が応当日となります。
英文契約書では、多くは、年度ごとの契約日（また発効日）に対応する日という意味で使われます。
Anniversary（応当日）は、英文契約書のTerm/Duration（契約期間条項）などで、よく使われます。（下記の例文①をご覧ください）
２．例文と基本表現：
（注）：上記で解説したanniversaryは青文字で示し、基本表現をハイライトしています。
１）Anniversary（応当日）– 例文①
Term/Duration（契約期間条項）からです。契約の発効日から最初の1年後の応当日及びそれ以降の1年後の応当日に、契約期間は自動的にさらに1年間延長されます。
The term of this Agreement initially shall be the one year period commencing on the Effective Date. On the first anniversary of the Effective Date and on each subsequent anniversary of the Effective Date, the term of this Agreement automatically shall be extended for a period of one additional year. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the term of this Agreement is subject to termination as provided in Section 10.
（訳）：
本契約の当初の期間は、発効日から1年間とする。発効日から最初の1年後の応当日及び発効日から以降の1年後の応当日に、本契約の期間は自動的にさらに1年間延長されるものとする。上記にかかわらず、本契約の期間は、第10条の規定に従って終了することができる。
（注）：
＊Effective Dateは、（契約の）発効日という意味です。
＊the first anniversary of the Effective Dateは、発効日から最初の1年後の応当日という意味です。
＊each subsequent anniversary of the Effective Dateは、発効日から以降の1年後の応当日という意味です。subsequent（その後の）が入っています。
＊Notwithstanding the foregoingは、上記にかかわらずという意味です。くわしくは、the foregoingとthe aforementionedの意味と例文をご覧ください。
＊is subject toは、～を条件としてという意味ですが、意訳（ができる）しています。詳しくは、subject toの意味と例文をご覧ください
＊terminationは、（契約の）終了という意味です。
２）Anniversary（応当日）– 例文②
Non-Competition（競業避止条項）からです。売主は、クロージング日から15年後の応当日までの期間、指定販売地域において、競合製品を販売しないことに合意します。
Seller agrees that for the period commencing on the Closing Date and ending on the fifteenth anniversary of the Closing Date, neither Seller nor its Subsidiaries will directly or indirectly sell, market, develop, distribute, manufacture or otherwise promote, pursuant to a license, any Competing Product in the Territory, or actively and knowingly assist any Third Party to do any of the foregoing.
（訳）：
売主は、クロージング日から始まり、クロージング日の15年目までの期間、売主とその子会社が、指定販売地域において、競合製品を、ライセンス条件に従って直接的若しくは間接的に、販売、マーケティング、開発、流通、製造若しくはその他の方法で販売促進を行わなず、又は前述のいずれかを行うために積極的かつ意図的に第三者を支援しないことに合意する。
（注）：
＊the Closing Dateは、資産譲渡契約などの取引実行日（資産の受け渡し日）を意味しますが、クロージング日と訳されます。
＊the fifteenth anniversaryは、直訳すると15年後の応当日ですが、意訳（15年目）しています。
＊Subsidiariesは、子会社という意味です。
＊or otherwiseは、若しくはその他の方法でという意味です。
＊pursuant toは、に従ってという意味です。
＊Competing Productは、競合製品という意味です。
＊actively and knowinglyは、積極的かつ意図的にという意味です。
＊the foregoingは、前述のという意味です。
